DAVID SARNO, FOUNDER LIGHTHAUS STORYTELLING COMPANY
David Sarno is the founder of digital storytelling company Lighthaus Inc. A technology journalist at the Los Angeles Times for 8 years, David started Lighthaus in 2013 to use videogame-based technology to tell stories in media and healthcare. Lighthaus's first major project, released in September, is an interactive simulation of pediatric heart surgery (3dheart.stanfordchildrens.org), for Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. The company is now at work on a similar project for pediatric brain surgery, also for Packard Children's. David has a degree in computer science from Yale University, and a degree in fiction writing from the University of Iowa Writers’ Workshop.
